Hi!

I'm Alison, a lifestyle blogger, yoga instructor, and Long Beach native, living in Southern California with my husband Chris and our two little ones, Callie and Ford.

This blog has been a space to share my adventures in fitness, food, travel and more as I’ve lived in San Luis Obispo, San Francisco, and now Orange County. I hope that my posts help inspire you to be your happiest and healthiest self, no matter what stage of life you are in!

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to say hi or leave a note over on my Contact page :)

The Weekly | 16.2025

Another week that has flown by and somehow we’re almost to May... I decided to shift the title of these posts to ‘The Weekly’ instead of ‘Weekly Wins’ because while I wanted to focus on highlights of my past weeks, the reality is, some weeks it’s not as much about the wins as it is just about making it through! I managed to get my What I Want for Mother’s Day post published, but then of course fell behind when it came to my regular weekly update (though I do think I like Sunday’s better than Wednesday’s for a regular cadence going forward)…

While Chris does his best to minimize travel, it’s inevitable that he needs to be away a few nights here and there, and this week was one that called for a few nights of solo parenting.

I went to a welcome event for the charter homeschool we are starting next year and as I’ve been working on Callie’s TK program and our new schedule, it dawned on me that I haven’t really shared what our current weeks are looking like. I have Ford (18 months) all week and Callie (3.5) goes to preschool three days a week (Tue-Thu).

On Mondays and Fridays, we pretty much always have some sort of activity planned, whether its something small like running an errand or going to the park or the library, I really try to make it a point to get out of the house. We also have gymnastics on Mondays and I’m looking back into swim lessons again.

Tuesday through Thursdays are a mix of full time Ford days and some grandparent babysitting blocks so I can get work done. While it doesn’t happen every week, I also like to squeeze in lunch or walks with friends when I can and there are some good mid-week farmers markets to go to too!

Still working out what our summer and school schedule are going to look like but stay tuned as I’m aiming to have it finished soon :)
